This beautiful incense holder (also known as an incense burner) is a brass stand on a ceramic base and holds the incense properly to collect any ashes left after the incense has burned.
These products are made by underprivileged artisans in Nepal. Our associate found the artisans and offered to work with them to market their products and also help them financially and in any other way to improve their lifestyle and status.
Burning incense is an important ritual in all major Buddhist traditions, but the purpose and symbolism of incense is slightly different for each tradition. In Buddhism, frankincense acts as an offering to Buddhas or enlightened Buddhas, as well as a symbol for various aspects of the Buddhist faith and an aid to positive thoughts and actions.
